Tony Stark is left the sole survivor when his father's plane crashes. Now an orphan, he is presented with a questionable 'last request' of his father: live with the Rhodes and go to school. Encouraged by Pepper Potts and assisted by Jim Rhodes, the 16 year old genius begins to investigate the suspicious activities carried out by Obadiah Stane, the new C.E.O. of Stark Industries. But an even deadlier foe is waiting... The Mandarin.

Mandarin has trouble win his son, Gene Khan, while trying to retrieve the rings. Tony Stark as Iron Man battles his invention that Obadiah transformed into a weapon. Mandarin steals the ring of Obadiah, and fights Iron Man. Back in Mandarin's lair it is revealed that Gene Khan has become The Mandarin.

When Pepper's father is targeted by arms dealer Mister Fix, Tony must save the day without revealing his secret. However, this task becomes nearly impossible when Mister Fix sends his agent Whiplash after Pepper.

Tony must use his armor for the first time in months when Mr. Fix's boss orders the abduction of Justin Hammer and Obadiah Stane.

With his father's company on the line, Tony must wear his new armor and join War Machine to defeat his enemies.

When Mr. Fix is split into two halves, the Light Half seeks Iron Man's help in preventing the Dark Half from destroying the planet.

Stane hires a ghost to help him acquire the Iron Man armor.

Stane creates mass-produced heroes using Tony's stolen specifications; Iron Man must try to discredit the new heroes.

While investigating attacks on Hammer Multinational, Tony uncovers Stark International's involvement in a civil war.

Hammer's new creation badly damages War Machine and nearly destroys the Iron Man armor.

Doctor Doom arrives in New York to collect stolen Iron Man specs.

Someone is after Rhodey and Pepper and sets a explosive in the armory. Meanwhile, Obadiah Stane and Iron Monger return, and Iron Man learns that it is not really Stane as the pilot. In the end, the pilot turns out to be Whitney Stane (Madame Masque) who is looking to get revenge on Tony Stark.

Pepper gets a suit. Gene finds the tenth ring, defeats the last guardian which turns out to be a Makluan. Howard Stark reveals to Tony that he knew that he was Iron Man the whole time.

Mandarin signals the Makluan Overlord's alien fleet to invade Earth.

Iron Man, War Machine and Rescue must unite Nick Fury, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Black Panther and the Hulk to stop the Makluan Overlord from destroying the Earth.
